The CIO Strategy Council invites all stakeholders to share and provide their input on a draft national standard. The standard aims to specify minimum requirements for preparing, developing, and conducting challenge-based, agile and open procurement of digital products and services. The standard applies to all organizations, including public and private companies, government entities, and not-for-profit organizations.
The draft, CAN/CIOSC 108: 202X Agile and open procurement of digital solutions, is available on the CIO Strategy Council website for public review. The deadline for comments is March 6th 2023. After the public review period closes, Technical Committee 8: Modern Procurement, will review and disposition all comments received.
The CIO Strategy Council acknowledges and thanks The Mitre Corporation for the contribution of their technical paper: Challenged-Based Acquisition (Fifth Edition. 2020) which served as an inspiration in the development of this work and whose ideologies and practices are referenced in the body of this Standard.
You are invited to comment on the draft national standard by March 6th, 2023.
“There are compelling reasons for public and private sector organizations to ensure the trustworthiness of preparing, developing, and conducting their open procurement of digital products and services to their clients and citizens. This standard defines a framework for organizations evaluating the suitability of digital product and service providers. I encourage everyone to join the conversation and help shape the requirements for this proposed draft national standard on agile and open procurement for digital solutions.”
– Darryl Kingston, Senior Director of Standards, CIO Strategy Council
