CIO Strategy Council Publishes Publicly Available Specification for Scalable Remote Access Infrastructure

OTTAWA, November 10, 2020 – The CIO Strategy Council is pleased to announce the publication of CIOSC/PAS 100-4:2020, Data Governance – Part 4: Specification for Scalable Remote Access Infrastructure.

As organizations continue to react to unprecedented and unplanned shifts in their workforce to support work-from-home mandates, this specification aims to help organizations mitigate security risks and scalability demands associated with enterprise technologies used for remote access.

The PAS provides a vendor-agnostic framework and set of characteristics which, when adopted, enable the secure and rapid scale-up of the infrastructure needed to support remote work requirements.

The PAS was developed to respond to an urgent market need, representing the consensus of subject matter experts. The PAS is published for immediate use and will serve to obtain feedback on its transition to a National Standard of Canada.

This PAS is available at no cost, in both of Canada’s official languages, and can be viewed here.
