CIO Strategy Council Welcomes New Vice President of Member Engagement and Services

New position created to build relationships, advise members, and foster a shared vision for a safe, prosperous, digital-first Canada.

Ottawa, ONCIO Strategy Council is pleased to welcome Chris Scott to the role of VP Member Engagement and Services, directly reporting to Executive Director, Keith Jansa, with a mandate to enhance value to members and support the implementation of the organization’s strategy relating to the digital economy.

“We are very excited to welcome Chris to our team at the Council,” said Keith Jansa Executive Director, CIO Strategy Council. “He brings a tighter policy focus to our team and will be a great resource for our members as we collectively mobilize on common digital priorities.”

Chris brings a decade of government experience to the Council in this newly created position, including his latest involvement with the Ontario Government, where he spent the last four years serving four Ministers, across three ministries in various leadership roles. He most recently served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Ontario’s Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks. Previously, Chris served as Chief of Staff to Ontario’s Minister of Government and Consumer Services, and Deputy Chief of Staff and Executive Director of Policy to Ontario’s Minister of Colleges and Universities. Prior to his work in the Ontario Government, Chris spent time working with elected officials and decision makers in the Manitoba provincial government and Parliament Hill while completing his studies at Carleton University.

My entire career has been spent navigating the machinery of government, engaging stakeholders, building consensus, and implementing often complex public policy. I look forward to continuing this tradition by providing solutions to the Council’s members as the organization works towards implementing its objectives. I intend to apply my knowledge of government decision-making processes and strong communication skills to support the Council and its members in any way I can,” said Chris Scott, VP Member Engagement and Services at CIO Strategy Council.
