OTTAWA, April 18th 2023
With gratitude, we acknowledge that we live, work, and play on the traditional territories of many Indigenous Peoples across Turtle Island and we affirm our on-going commitment to principles and processes of reconciliation and to the TRC 94 Calls to Action.
With an increasing demand for credible, consistent impact reporting data, the Digital Governance Standards Institute and Social Value Canada released for public review a Technical Specification (TS) for impact statements as a key part of annual reporting.
The public review process is an opportunity to get feedback from Canadian and international expertise to advance impact reporting practices in Canada. It is intended to establish a baseline for data to be incorporated within an impact report, and how to present the information so that it can be understood and audited by a third party.
The Technical Specification will lay the foundation for regional/national reporting requirements and offer an example for other jurisdictions also seeking to achieve standardized guidance for reporting practices. The deadline for comments is May 18th, 2023.
How to Get Involved
The Technical Specification process is collaborative and open to all. There are many opportunities for input, contributions, and collaboration as part of this process. Please contact Social Value Canada if you are interested in contributing to the development of this Technical Specification.
