DGC membership brings executive representatives from organizations operating in Canada into a member-led forum to share experience, identify digital governance gaps and prioritize collective action.

Membership is open to organizations operating in Canada. Each member appoints an executive representative and contributes an organizational perspective while working toward the broader objectives of the Council.

The Executive Forum is the Council’s central member forum. It is designed to identify governance gaps, share best practices and prioritize action.

Public-service AI and trust
Through the Executive Forum, members helped define Canada’s AI Strategy for the Public Service and addressed the convergence of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and trust infrastructure.

What member participation involves
The Charter treats membership as active participation. Member organizations contribute professional expertise while keeping the broader objectives of the Council in view.
Appoint an executive representative
Each member organization appoints an executive to represent it at Council and Executive Forum meetings.
Provide independent advice
Members provide unbiased advice and direction based on their professional expertise.
