This document specifies minimum requirements for the responsible and privacy-preserving collection, storage, use, and sharing of personal information by organizations delivering community and human services. This Standard serves as a guide to help nonprofit organizations and funders engage with their data in ethical and equitable ways and to advance the culture of data collection, storage & use in the sector.
This document is also applicable to nonprofit organizations that are typically small to medium-sized organizations that work within the constraints of smaller teams and a larger breadth of responsibilities in job roles.
