This is the first Standard in a series of Standards for the use of election and voting technologies, beginning with the technical design and operational requirements for vote tabulators and electronic poll books.
This Standard, DGSI 119-1 specifies the minimum requirements for the design, installation, operation and maintenance of vote tabulators.
This Standard is applicable to the producers of vote tabulators and any organization that intends to run a democratic election using vote tabulators. This Standard does not apply to batch-fed tabulators or central tabulation devices.
