Ottawa, ON — The Digital Governance Standards Institute (DGSI) is pleased to announce the publication of the second edition of Data Governance: Part 5 – Health data and information capability framework, a National Standard of Canada.
This updated edition provides organizations with a structured and practical framework to assess, benchmark, and advance the maturity of their data governance practices. As data continues to play a central role in digital transformation, the standard supports organizations in establishing measurable, accountable, and scalable governance capabilities.
The second edition introduces an enhanced maturity model tailored to the evolving needs of modern data ecosystems, including increased emphasis on interoperability, digital identity integration, and responsible data stewardship across jurisdictions. It enables organizations to evaluate their current state, define target maturity levels, and implement continuous improvement strategies aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory expectations.
