OTTAWA – The Digital Governance Standards Institute (DGSI) is pleased to announce the reaffirmation of the National Standard of Canada, CAN/DGSI 103-1: Digital Trust and Identity – Part 1 Fundamentals. This standard provides essential requirements for the design, operation, and maintenance of digital systems in Canada, ensuring their security and reliability.

CAN/DGSI 103-1 outlines the minimum requirements and a set of controls for establishing trust in digital systems and services that manage identity and credentials for individuals and organizations. It is applicable to digital systems within a single identity context as well as across multiple contexts, such as in credential or identity federations. The requirements help support safe, protected, and dependable systems.
