Reaffirmation of National Standard of Canada for Connected Cities: Discovery of Digital Twins

OTTAWA – The Digital Governance Standards Institute is proud to announce the reaffirmation of the National Standard of Canada on the Discovery of Digital Twins. This National Standard i provides a shared set of criteria that will encourage interoperability, collaboration and support commercialization and advancement of the development and management of digital twins. Digital twins are becoming a vital planning tool for cities and the market for them is growing rapidly. Digital twins have the ability to revolutionize the way we build, access and navigate cities and have the potential for endless applications including reducing barriers and improving safety and accessibility of cities.

The standard, CAN/DGSI 106-1: Connected Cities: Part 1 – Discovery of Digital Twins, is available on the Digital Governance Council website for download.
