The Digital Governance Standards Institute (DGSI) is excited to announce its latest outreach initiative using PlaceSpeak, an award-winning online engagement platform designed to connect organizations with communities in meaningful, location-based dialogue.
As part of DGSI’s commitment to advancing transparent, inclusive, and responsive standards development, we are expanding our engagement efforts to ensure that a broad and diverse network of voices can provide input on the draft standards the DGSI produces. With PlaceSpeak, DGSI is opening new avenues for public feedback, allowing stakeholders from across sectors and regions to help shape the future of digital governance.
Why PlaceSpeak?
PlaceSpeak offers a unique, verified platform that empowers individuals to participate confidently, knowing their input is anchored in their geographic community. For DGSI, this means gathering feedback that reflects regional realities, helping to ensure the standards we develop are relevant, practical, and attuned to the needs on the ground.
By adopting PlaceSpeak, DGSI aims to:
- Broaden outreach beyond traditional networks to engage a wider and more diverse audience;
- Facilitate meaningful, location-based dialogue that highlights how standards affect different communities and sectors;
- Enhance transparency and trust by providing open, visible opportunities for stakeholder input;
- Ensure standards relevance by grounding development in the real-world experiences of those impacted.
“We are always seeking new ways to connect with stakeholders, industry leaders, and the public to ensure our standards reflect the values and priorities of those they serve,” said Darryl Kingston, Executive Director of DGSI. “PlaceSpeak offers an innovative way to deepen engagement and bring more diverse perspectives into the standards development process.”
